I applied online. I interviewed at LI.FI in May 2026
Interview
Interview process felt much more corporate and process-heavy than expected for a crypto infrastructure company.
The People Ops stage was heavily focused on culture/vibe fit and conversational style rather than engineering depth or actual infrastructure experience.
Communication after the interview was disappointing. After spending significant time on a live conversation centered around “people and culture”, the rejection arrived as a generic automated no-reply AshbyHQ email with zero personalized feedback.
Technically the company and domain seem interesting. But candidates who prefer direct engineering-oriented communication over polished startup culture conversations may find the process frustrating

Question 1
How former colleagues would describe you (strengths and weaknesses)?
I applied online. I interviewed at LI.FI (Vienna) in Feb 2026
Interview
I had an intro call for a Senior Product Designer position. During the first call we covered both the screening part and a basic design discussion. There were also questions about how familiar I was with the company and the product before the call.
The conversation with the recruiter felt constructive and positive.
However, after waiting for more than a week, I received a standard rejection message saying they would not move forward with my application.
I politely asked for feedback to understand what was missing or what could be improved, but unfortunately I did not receive any response.
During the call the company presented itself as very culture-focused, so I was a bit surprised that there was no feedback after the interview, which gave the impression that the strong culture messaging might not fully reflect the actual hiring experience.

Question 1
They asked me to explain in simple words what the company does and what their product is. There were several questions with a similar focus to check how well I understood the company and its product before the interview.

The process consisted of 5 interviews within about 3 weeks. I got to meet my manager, my coworkers and future colleagues. The process was dynamic and just the right level of challenging
