      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at L'Occitane (Leicester, England) in Feb 2020

      Interview

Online application followed by test and questions and then interview by AM. Smashed all stages. Could do the job standing on my head, even interviewer knew I was the right candidate especially with proven track record and sales background. Looked promising when I was asked to speak to an quite soon after. Received call saying they have the job to someone internal? Waste of time do not advertise and waste experienced managers time if you are going to recruit internally . Clearly do not want ambitious cosmetic proven background. Even in my mystery shop was a poor experience with staff who are not able to sell and not able to ask for the sale. Company needs to look at there process , looks like staff are in comfort zone.

      Boutique Manager Interview

      11 Oct 2010
      Anonymous employee
      Bethesda, MD
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at L'Occitane (Bethesda, MD) in Jun 2008

      Interview

I was interviewed by a woman in flip flops and multiple tattoos claiming she was the district manager. I didn't mind she was dressed so casually, but she was very late for the interview in the mall and I had to call her several times to navigate her through the mall to the previously selected location. She talked about her new puppy and the fact that she had hurt her toe really badly and needed to wear the flip flops. She did go through a series of canned questions...all of which I had prepared for. The interview was only about 30 minutes and she seemed to like me. She had another woman from corporate office call and ask me basically the same questions. A week later an offer was made.
