After submitting an online application (with résumé) I received a call for an in person group interview. It was a very informal interview with about 4 other candidates and one hiring manager where we were asked normal retail questions such as when we went above and beyond for a customer, what drew us to L.L. Bean.

We were asked to assemble a tent as a group, and I believe that how we worked together primarily was what determined if we got a call back.
Very straightforward and friendly, one stage phone interview. Received offer within the same week. Didn’t have to undergo any background checks or references. Was asked basic questions regarding my work experience and background

Group interview setting. It wasn't very stressful and it was nice to base your answers on what others are saying. Be prepared to talk about how you align with the company's values of getting outdoors as well as any previous customer service experience you bring to the table.
