      Engineering Intern Interview

      7 Jun 2026
      Anonymous employee
      San Diego, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Kyocera (San Diego, CA) in May 2026

      Interview

The interview process was straightforward and conversational. I spoke with the team about my background, technical interests, and past software/data projects. Most of the interview focused on walking through a full-stack project I had worked on, explaining my role, the technical decisions I made, and how I approached debugging and building for real users. They also asked a few practical software engineering and system design-style questions related to CI/CD, testing, reliability, and designing software for a manufacturing environment.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Q: Tell me about a technical project you worked on and what your role was. Q: How would you design software for a large manufacturing facility if reliable Wi-Fi was not available everywhere? Q: What would you include in a CI/CD pipeline to make sure new code changes do not break existing functionality?
