The process is traditional in the sense that I was screened, invited to a first and second interview and met the leadership team. What was not so traditional (and extremely unprofessional) was right before my second in-person the position I applied for was terminated and replaced with a position requiring higher qualifications (a JD to be specific). If it hadn't been for my due diligence the night before I would have walked into my THIRD interview not made aware of this change, at all. In fact, I had to address the change to the HR director myself. Interpreting this flagrant mistake only leads me to believe their is major miscommunication at the executive level and the HR team is completely incompetent. To make matters worse I was treated as if I was overzealous for even thinking I would be a good fit for the (newly created) position. The interviewer was looking around the room, uninterested in anything I was saying, and borderline condescending in her questioning. I read all the reviews here and elsewhere, with my experience it's no wonder they have such a notorious reputation. On the contrary I must say the operstions/executive team was lovely. They were thoughtful and sincere and I felt welcomed by them. They had a clear understanding of the position and each of them had reviewed my resume prior to meeting with me. My only advice would be to all potential employees, do your homework; anyone can buy black leather futons and an espresso machine.
