applied online, received an email to set up phone interview, after phone interview was sent an email to set up a face to face interview with several district managers. After that I received a phone call with an offer that I counter offered and they accepted.
Lengthy interview. The young man clearly was not qualified to interview me. I knew more about Kroger and retail foods than he did. I controlled the interview, he answered questions.

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Kroger (Plano, TX) in Jun 2016
Interview
My experience was a bit rare, i applied online and emailed a current co manager from my local store to see if he could push my application to the top for HR to consider. I had previously met him at the store and simply had a conversation about what I was wanting to apply for and he gave me some advice. After I applied i heard back from the recruiters that same week, and did my first two phone interviews. They warned me that the process would take a few weeks.
I didn't hear back from them until over 2 months later from a recruiter apologizing for the long wait. She then scheduled me a face to face interview for the following week with the HR coordinator and the District Operations manager (now almost 3 months after my initial application). I went in for the interview and was told to wait 4-7 days to hear back. 6 days pass and I haven't hadn't heard anything, so I gave the HR coordinator a call and luckily he said he would get in touch with me within the week. Now 8 days after my interview, he gives me a call on Saturday morning and offers me the position over the phone rather than the normal offer letter sent via email. The next day I was sent my contract and offer letter from corporate.
