Interview
There is an assignment-based evaluation they make you do which isn't too bad. Then if that is successful they offer you an interview which for me went pretty smoothly. They do ask how much you are looking to be paid which I think is rude.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, as a learning organization we appreciate your input and aim to take meaningful action in addressing these concerns.
I'm glad to hear the initial assessments went well. We like to make sure we provide candidates ample opportunities to showcase their skills and highlight their strengths both in interviews and through assignments.
When it comes to asking about salary expectations we like to get an initial understanding of a candidate's goal/ expectations, that way we can make sure we are aligned before moving forward. While our focus is always finding the right candidate first, it can save both the candidate and us time by clearing up those expectations at the beginning of the process. Clarifying salary during the first meeting is standard practice to align the parties.
Thank you again for your feedback. We wish you the best of luck in your next position and career moving forward. Feel free to email me at carine@kritik.io or at HR@kritik.io if you have further questions or concerns.

Interview
Pre interview, there is an activity answering questions about programming using their platform. The actual interview is 2-stage, first stage behavioural questions starting with "tell me about yourself" going into technology related questions like "what is the higher order component in React?". Second stage is brain teasers/programming.
