I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Kraft Heinz (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2016
Interview
First was a phone interview which lasted about 20 minutes. The woman was pleasant - the questions were challenging.
On-campus interviews were next. I was interviewed by 2 employees - 1 was currently in the program, R&D side, super funny and very friendly. Very reciprocative and answered all my questions. Didn't even feel like an interview. The other interview was with head HR rep. He was also very friendly - gave me insight into the merger and history of the two companies. Questions were more difficult but I was well prepared
Was invited ton on-site interviews in Chicago HQs. Was instructed to go to the 76th floor where I met all 44 other candidates. Interview process consisted of a 3 minute presentation answering: What have I done? What am I currently doing? Why should KH hire me?
First presentation was to a panel of Directors and VPs. After everyone has presented (you watch all) they call out about 30 names. Those individuals are taken to another room for direct-hire interviews - they were not lucky enough to make the cut. The final 10 meet and present to the CEO and his leadership. 5 were chosen from that group.
This interview process also occurs on a consecutive day with 45 other candidates. In total, they distributed 20 offers in the fall and aim for 20 in the spring.
Process was nerve-racking but incredibly exciting. If you are looking for a place to be challenged, feel valued and HAVE FUN Kraft Heinz is the place. If you are nervous presenting in front of groups or crowds this position is not for you. No matter how smart some candidates were, if they showed they were nervous they were cut. This is a program for leaders, and leaders need to be able to present and be facey.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is one thing you regret? Tell me of a time you had to accumulate multiple data points and use them to successfully complete a project. Why are you above average?
What have you done? What are you currently doing? Why should KH hire you?
Amazing interview process. four rounds. They really try to get to know the real you. The last interview was a "super day" where they had candidates create a presentation, and have a panel ask questions. Gave you the opportunity to tour the office, taste test their products, learn from previous trainees.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Kraft Heinz
Interview
Interview process was seamless, fairly stress-free, and comprehensive. Challenging, for sure, but was definitely one of the more enjoyable processes that I took part in as a post-grad interviewee. It was also extremely comprehensive - the company was interested in you as a person, you as an employee, and all of your background.
I applied online. I interviewed at Kraft Heinz (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2019
Interview
I did a hirevue, campus interview, then an on-site final round interview. Throughout all steps, the process was very smooth. Everyone was extremely nice and wanted you to succeed. The entire process was about 4 months but it took about 3 days after the final round to get back a final decision
