For context, I’m a recent CHM EGR graduate that due to the current job market, was blessed enough to get a QA role after 6 months of the job market. Met with the manufacturing manager and Human Resources during the interview and honestly things were good. They want to expand and having an engineer can greatly help with more broader and bigger processes. Yes, I didn’t have any “industry” related experience, but when your work revolves around numbers, it doesn’t matter too much. After that process and then getting hired, I met with one of the CEOs. Till this day I still hear “I’m just trying to figure out why they hired you” in my head, as if I didn’t managed to save the company from an audit inspection. All in all, I have more loyalty to my team than to the company.
