I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kohl's
Interview
I had prior experience working at another Kohl's a few years prior, so they basically hired me on the spot. I filled out a paper with my information and availability.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What did you do at the previous Kohl's location you worked at?
I applied online and the next day was asked to schedule a live video interview. I scheduled my interview and joined the call at the scheduled time. The manager was about 20 minutes late and only joined after I called the store to inquire about the status of the interview. He emphasized that he was not looking for a cashier, but a strong salesperson who could confidently sell the store credit card and meet the conversion rates. The manager told me that he had several more interviews to conduct that day, but he liked me and would likely call me soon. He called me back less than 30 minutes after the interview was concluded and offered me the position. I asked if I could take some time to consider the offer and get back to him by the end of business the next day (less than 24 hours). He was hesitant to allow that and instead suggested he call me the next morning. That did not work for my schedule, and he eventually said for me to call him the next day.

Question 1
How is your ability to sell the store credit card?
I applied online. I interviewed at Kohl's (Port Huron, MI) in Jul 2022
Interview
Was made to believe I had the job, and day of orientations, I called asking time for orientation and was told I was not picked for the job. Very embarrassing experience.
