I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kohl's (Portage, IN) in Mar 2014
Interview
Applied online and got a cal within a week for an in-person interview. At the interview they asked basic questions. The manager was very intimidating and I felt like I was being talked down to. He asked me which department I would enjoy working in the most and followed the question with "don't say shoes because you enjoy shoes. I expect an actual answer." I left the interview knowing I didn't get the job and sure enough a few days later I received a letter in the mail saying I wasn't a fit for the company.

Question 1
What department would you like to work in the most?
It was a pretty standard interview with situational questions and they explained the job duties. They also took me around the store to show me around and introduce me to everyone.
Pretty straight forward, the interview was like any other for any clothing company. Pretty quick, from call to being on the job took 1-2 weeks minimum. Though pay wasn’t that great, it was still a good learning experience.

If a customer asked for a location of a product what will you do
Fairly easy interview with standard questions about experience and availability. The interviewer was professional and explained the role clearly. I was surprised to learn of evening availability requirements that were not reflected in the availability I submitted on my application.
