A lot of activities - group exercise, one on one, in tray exercise, written task and assessed Q&A. The one on one interview was fairly relaxed and more like a conversation.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Kirkland & Ellis (London, England) in Feb 2021
Interview
There were a couple of stages to the hiring process. First, I had to complete a video interview. These questions were pretty standard (motivational/competency). I proceeded to the Assessment Centre stage where I took part in a group exercise, written task and Q&A session. After passing this round, I attended an interview with two partners. The interview lasted around 20 mins and tested my motivations/knowledge of private equity.

Interview
Started off with a Q&A with two partners which they told us was not assessed but clearly was - everyone had to ask a question. Then there was a group task where each person had to pitch a person (fictional or real) to propose at the CEO of a company before choosing as a group which one to go with. Finally there was a one on one partner interview.
