Interview was very simple, just in-person with administrative staff from the front office. The main point is evaluating creativity, enthusiasm, and interpersonal skills to select a passionate intern. It was an overall easy experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are you looking forward to in this internship?
Pretty easy interview. Normal questions such as tell me about yourself and they did look hard at resumes and cover letters. Make sure you’re prepared. Also make sure to always show eye contact.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kino Lorber (New York, NY) in Mar 2013
Interview
Met with the contracts manager who interviewed me about my experience in film, what I want to do in film, etc. Nothing too strenuous or severe. Just prove that you know what distribution is (as in vs. production) and that you want to work here because you love foreign films, blah blah blah.
