      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Keyence in May 2016

      Interview

Initially applied through a recruiter. First step was the bennett mechanical test - I think it was around 50 multiple choice questions in a 25-minute test. Pretty straightforward test, basic physics questions (visual, not calculation-based). Next came a brief phone screening with a Keyence HR rep (Describe your resume, why technical sales, etc.). Then there is the hirevue video interview. 7 pre-recorded questions, you have a minute to prepare for each question then 3 minutes to answer each question. Your recruiter might be able to tell you what questions to expect. Also a pretty easy step, just look calm and natural in front of the webcam and have a lot of enthusiasm. Then you take the caliper personality test. Like most people who have posted on glassdoor, this is where the road ended for me. Seems kind of illogical to have this step toward the end of the interview process when it seemingly weeds out most of the candidates. The overall interview process was not that difficult or stressful, but it definitely wastes a lot of people's time with the way it is set up.

      Interview
