I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Keyence (London, England) in Oct 2025
Interview
I recently took part in the first stage of the interview process, which included a short three-minute video interview answering the question: “Why are you a good fit for this role at Keyence?” as well as a mechanical aptitude test. I felt confident about both parts — I tried to present myself clearly and thoughtfully in the video, and believed I performed quite well on the test.
However, I later received an email stating that I had scored low on the mechanical test, without any further explanation or feedback. I also never received a response regarding my video interview.
About five days later, I was informed that my application was unsuccessful. While the process itself was straightforward and well-organised, the lack of communication or constructive feedback was quite disheartening. It would have been helpful to understand where I could improve for future opportunities.
Overall, I’d describe the experience as professional and efficient, but somewhat impersonal and lacking in engagement.

Interview
1st round application 2nd round apptitude testing 3rd round assessment centre and interview and 4th round interview with managers. all stages online bar the last which is in person in the local branch
First I had to do a Mechanical test which was pretty straight forward. Then I was invited the virtual assessment centre which is group call explaining the role, and then a one on one interview. They asked what my greatest achievement was, a time when I didn't achieve a desired outcome and at the end had to do a sales role play, where the I had to sell the interviewer a car, and also some competency questions
Very disappointing and unprofessional. I had a final stage interview in person and they said they'd get back to me in 5 working days. Almost a month later I had to hound them over the phone just to get a negative update with 0 feedback. Sales managers were nice at first, but after a while the whole thing just felt like an effort to make me second guess myself. They seemed completely uninterested in my skills and attraction towards the company and the role. Every time I said something positive they just asked these weird rhetorical questions that were completely unanswerable. It was like they were trying to talk me out of working there. Beforehand I was told that I didn't need to prepare much and that it would be 'less on the spot' than the Assessment Centre, which turned out to be a total lie. And then to go completely ghost mode on me after? Ridiculous. Nice office at least, even though the atmosphere was a bit stale and gloomy.
