Interview
The recruiter phone interview went well, and followed up with an in-person interview with the area retail manager. The inperson hiring manager for the Downtown Fairbanks Branch was 15 minutes late and unprepared for the interview. He did not seem aware that I had a scheduled interview and had not reviewed my resume before hand. He told me he had a list of questions to choose from, but he was going to just conduct the interview in his own way and ask his own questions. The questions were redundant, focusing on salesmanship skills. He obviously had not reviewed my resume before hand as after I told him I just drove over from (company x) he asked what would make me want to go into banking. I answered that previous to working for X, I had several years of banking experience - and he was surprised. He didn't use my name once and seemed disinterested. I would have to say, for someone whose career is sales- he did not sell the company.

Panel interview consisting almost exclusively of situational interview questions. For example, “Tell me about a time you overcame a challenge, and what was the end result.” They ask follow up questions, too.

Very smooth, and pretty consistent to all Retail Branch Banking interviews I've had in the past. They want to know about your problem solving with specific situations that you have dealt with in the past.
