Applied online to a consumer affairs rep position with a very notable company (national brand, local office). I was contacted by a Kelly Services rep within a week of applying. Initial interview lasted about 17 minutes, and then I was directed to the Kelly Services website to complete my application (for background check purposes). Within 5 days, I was contacted by Kelly Services to schedule an on-site interview with the national company. Kelly rep was very friendly and helpful, and I had an interview scheduled within days. Unfortunately, nothing the Kelly Rep said in an email about what to expect (a Kelly rep who would meet me, the three leaders I was supposed to meet) actually occurred. I arrived 10 minutes before interview was scheduled to start and met with someone who wasn't in the interview confirmation email. The in-person lasted 25 minutes, and I felt rushed. It was clear the person who interviewed me did it because they "had to", and honestly, I wasn't even sure if I was interviewing for the right position (my interviewer had no idea who I was, my background or experience) - I reached out to my Kelly Services rep right away and within a few days, I was contacted that both the situation and outcome would be researched. My rep thanked me for informing Kelly Services of my experience - it's been over 48 hours, and I still haven't heard anything. I'm assuming I wasn't a fit for the position (which is fine) but actual interview experience was still odd. Overall, Kelly Services has been very helpful, just wish the in-person interview experience hadn't been so awkward and unexpected. I would have liked the chance to speak with and impress the right people vs. someone who viewed my interview as a burden.
