I interviewed with Kasada on 14th April 2023 NZST. A day before this (when the time was being planned) they called my phone number out of the blue which was quite unpleasant. After meeting with them, the interviewer stated I was not suitable for the role, even though I was previously told my experience was “just what they’re looking for”. We also talked about some technical things, and the interviewer saying some very questionable things, like how Go “doesn’t have a proper package manager”. The interviewer informed me that they would let me know when a more suitable position regarding obfuscation would become available. I thought this was very strange considering I have seven years experience in the industry. After receiving the follow up email, I was told they would not be following up because of “social media activity over the weekend”. I responded asking what social media activity it was, since I had not mentioned anything about Kasada on social media. They never replied to my email. I tried contacting them on different channels on several different occasions and never got any response. Overall, I can’t suggest applying for a position at Kasada. It’s a complete waste of time and they will find a non-existent reason to cut contact with you. The interview process was very unpleasant and embarrassing for a company of their size.
