I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Karrot (Chicago, IL) in Sept 2022
Interview
Two interviews, first with a member of leadership from the CSM team and then with a founder. First interview was very straightforward and positive, I left it feeling like we were on the same page and it was a good fit. Second interview was very brief and dismissive. There was no actual effort to get to know me as a candidate-- it was obvious I was judged and dismissed within minutes into the conversation, which only lasted 10-15 minutes. As someone who has conducted professional interviews for nearly a decade at a previous position, I was a little dumbfounded. After reading other reviews about Karrot as a company and other interviews, I wasn't as shocked. It seemed evident to me that they were looking for a specific "type" of person, and I wasn't it. I would consider this a bullet dodged.
