One of the worst interviews I've had in my 30-year career. HR was unprepared and asked the same questions multiple times! I could tell the interviewer checked out my LinkedIn a few seconds before the meeting. She didn't know where I was located, asked if would relocate and I'm in the same city as the corporate office. In addition, I have my location listed at top of the my resume.
Except for asking me an intro question and then the same question twice, the rest of the 20-minute interview was her reading through a script about the organization that was so over-the-top, I had to force myself to stay alert. Current employees wouldn't know all these details and it wasn't relevant for a first round. I wish she used the time to get to know me and my fit for the role.
After the script she encouraged candidates to follow up and then doesn't reply. I've held that role in a former organizations and from the poorly conducted interview, I could tell the hiring team wouldn't know anything about my experience except what was listed IF she passed on my resume.
For an organization that promotes itself for putting people first, it doesn't translate to the interview process.
