      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at KOHO

      Interview

My interview was an intro conversation with a senior member of the Talent team, which made the experience particularly surprising. I've been both a candidate and a hiring manager throughout my career, and this was one of the more disengaged interviews I've experienced. The conversation felt highly scripted, with little evidence of active listening despite the use of an AI note taking tool. Rather than exploring the most relevant parts of my background, much of the discussion focused on experiences from many years ago that had limited connection to the role itself. There were several instances where I was interrupted or redirected before I could fully answer questions, which made the conversation feel more like a checklist exercise than a genuine assessment of fit. The interview concluded with no opportunity for me to ask questions or learn more about the team and company. What stood out most was the lack of curiosity. For a People focused role, I expected a more thoughtful and engaging conversation. Instead, the experience felt transactional and detached, which left me with concerns about the candidate experience and how Talent is represented within the organization. I appreciate the opportunity to interview, but it was one of the weaker interview experiences I've had in recent years.
