As with all teaching positions, the place was understaffed and high pressure. Working with the kids and parents was a wonderful experience, the owner of the company was a huge advocate for me when I had issues with another teacher being disrespectful and irresponsible (they let that teacher go), but I could've used more than the occasional pizza party to boost morale. I loved working here and had to leave because of the very little pay for my experience in addition to the stress from working at the beginning of covid, wildfire smoke, and concerning issues at the waterfront park.
Overall, I loved that job. I would've stayed if they paid a livable wage.
