      Digital Product Owner Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Joybird (Los Angeles, CA)

      Interview

initially applied, got response about setting up a time for the 1st round. I emailed them and 3 days later we had something on the calendar. The day before our scheduled time, I get an email to reschedule. Having been in situations before where I've had to reschedule last minute, I completely understood and we eventually moved it to 2 days later. Initial interview was basically your typical screen asking about desired salary, why youre looking for a new job, etc. I was asked if I was available on Friday to setup 2nd round with a member of the team. Conversation with for the 2nd round was super professional and friendly. I've been in interviews where it would feel super inorganic as the interviewer would be reading off a list of questions prepared and being unengaged. The interviewer I spoke with started off by talking a bit about the company, their relationship with their parent company, and about the team in general. After finishing up what they wanted to talk about, they had a few behavioral questions on situations I've been in the past (work-wise). I don't think i gave the best answer on 2 questions. However, with how engaging the interviewer was overall, I felt excited about the chance to get to speak with more folks. I was told I'd hear back the following week regarding next steps. I sent a formal thank you email to my interviewer about being greatful for their time and sent a followup to the recruiter about next steps. I......never heard back afterwards.
