I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Journeys in May 2014
Interview
It was pretty laid back and easy. The manager took me outside the store and talked to be about the basics of the store and what I'd be doing if I got the position. Then he showed me around the stockroom and that was pretty much it. He did't ask me any questions because I didn't have any prior retail experience.

It includes an interview with one of their managers with behavioral and experience based interview questions. They may ask for a phone screening with a manager as well. The whole process shouldn't take more than a few weeks.

Interview
It was quick and easy. Applied and got a call back 2 days later asking me why I wanted to work there and my availability. Then set up an in person interview which took around 10 minutes.
Quick 30 minute conversation. Pretty straightforward. As long as you seem like you can talk to people and are responsible you’ll be fine. Since it’s entry level they didn’t ask too much about past work experience.
