Interview
I was interviewing for a fully-remote position.
Interview process consisted of: A zoom interview with the front-end lead, then a zoom interview with the back-end engineer, then a take home assignment with several days to complete.

Question 1
What brought you to web development and why do you like it?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Journeyage (Phoenix, AZ) in Aug 2020
Interview
This was the smoothest interview process that I have ever been a part of. From start to finish, the communication was impeccable and the questions were very fair: they tested a wide range of knowledge and skill areas as opposed to very specific and arbitrary tech factoids. In addition to this, one thing I loved was that they really talked the talk in terms of 'culture first' and made it clear that this was their number one priority. As a side-effect of this, it also meant that the technical assignment was given as one of the very last stages in the interview, meaning that I didn't have to potentially invest a ton of hours of my time in a company that might not be interested further down the line. This was a huge bonus! Finally, it was clear from talking to various members of the team during the interview process that every single person cared about the team and enjoyed working here. Hands down the best interviewing experiences I've ever had.

The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Journeyage (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2021
Interview
Phone Interview (covid). Was very scattered. Person did not seem to be able to verbalize what he was trying to do and seemed more like he was trying to get tech advice more than anything.

Question 1
Asked me about using a single token in multi-tenant environment and I told him why that was a bad idea and interviewer insisted it could be done even though I explained Google, Amazon and others don't do this and will still create a separate token.
Then wanted to argue and blame me. I had to stop conversation and say when I am interviewing I try to look for ways to find things in common and explain question and not blame interviewee for not understanding question.
This calmed him down and he went to another question which seemed again like he was trying to get tech advise.
