      Project Change Manager II Interview

      22 Apr 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Johnsonville

      Interview

I was optimistic about Johnsonville due being listed as one of the best mid-sized employers by Forbes. From what I understood, the company has a strong culture. However, from my interview experience, I would caution others to do their due diligence before jumping in. Pros: There are only two rounds of interview. One is a phone interview with the recruiter and the second is an in person panel interview, including a presentation. The interview with the recruiter lasted almost 50 minutes. The in-person panel interview included a 15 minute project presentation + Q&A; then 2 one-hour interviews (2 interviewers per interview). The interviewers came prepared, but generally asked the same (standard) questions. I can see the benefits of candidate presentations during interview. Cons: Communication was infrequent, not transparent, and edging on disrespectful. Following my in-person interview, it was communicated that I would hear back by the end of the week, at the very latest early the following week (within 1 week of final interview). No communication was actually provided within this time-frame; I reached out a few days after and received a vague response a few days after that. Communication could be equated to kicking the can down the road. It took almost 7 weeks for them to call to update on a final decision (no specific feedback provided). In short: I understand hiring practices change and evolve over time. I also understand that not every candidate is the best fit for the job and company. However, I do believe in basic communication and respectfulness towards applicants/candidates. It seems to me, like many companies currently, Johnsonville is going through a rocky time which is affecting its hiring practices and potentially culture. I hope this review helps others as they consider their options and whether it is worth their time and effort to apply to a Johnsonville position.
