      No offer
      Neutral experience

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at John Deere (Moline, IL) in Oct 2011

      Interview

I was flown out to Moline, IL for my second round interview. They flew a lot of people from all over the country to come visit their headquarters in Moline. The interview consisted of two interviewers interviewing me for about 50 minutes each. The kinds of questions they asked follow their STAR method of interviewing. If you look up the STAR method and practice it a little bit you will be fine.

      Question 1

Tell me about a time when you had difficulty working with a team member and how did you resolve the conflict.

2 weeks after applying got contacted to do a phone-screen with an engineer. Was supposed to be 15 minutes but ended up being ~45. Talked about school, John Deere, and went in depth through my resume. 2 weeks after that, was contacted for a 1 hour behavioral interview with 2 other engineers and it was only 5 questions. About a week later, got an email to talk with the a recruiter where they extended the offer. Everyone was very nice and actually seemed like they wanted to be there for the interview and get to know me.
