I was called for an interview and missed the initial call. I was left a voicemail about the operations manager position, but no name was left from the caller. When I called back, I expressed that I was returning a call, but the lady did not leave her name. The man said that he does not know who could have called me and I left my call back information with him. I received a call back from the initial caller and she said that she would like to setup an in-person interview. I expressed my delight and asked for the names of the interview. She said that she had no idea who it would be, but she will see me at the confirmed day and time. Once I arrived, I found out that it was a group interview of 3 people. The 2 interviewers said that they received several apps and this would be the best way to see all of the candidates. It is hard to stand out when you can't have a 1 on 1 conversation to elaborate on your skills and experiences. This was the first time I had a group interview. It was an unpleasant experience and felt like I was just a seat filler, not on an interview.

There were 4 applicants interviewed together which I found odd. We watched a slideshow of employees and franchise owners partying it up in New Orleans. Then we we’re told the actual position is “brand manager“. The pay listed was was not salary but salary and commission. I just felt deceived.
