      Desktop Support Engineer Interview

      11 Nov 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Jane Street

      Interview

Probably the worst interview experience I had. Interviewer just went into asking technical questions, some of them being rote memorization questions, like "What does BIOS stand for?". Launched straight into technical questions with no background on the company or role. No feedback given at all after responses. Sounded completely disinterested, like the interviewer was just reading questions from a document. Probably a red flag when the second question they ask is "How would you deal with a user who got angry with you?".
