      Full Time Coder/Web Interview

      7 Aug 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at JWC Team in Jul 2016

      Interview

The recruiter emailed me for an interview a few days after I submitted my resume. On Thursday, I arrived about 5 minutes early, but the recruiter made me wait about 25 minutes. That already shows that he doesn't really care. Then after 25 minutes, he came to me, introduced himself and brought me to a conference room. He asked me to give him my resume, so I did. He asked me regular behavioral questions and stuff about my resume. Halfway through the interview, he got a call and put the interview on hold for another 10 minutes. Then he came back and told me about the goals of the company, and what skills they were looking for in a new hire - someone who can make nice apps and fix & enhance their website. At the end, he told me if I could send him 5 things on the the website that could be changed, then I would be hired. I was hyped because I already visited their website and have seen a few things that could be changed. So I went back home, emailed him the 5 changes on the website, and waited. He did not reply the next day. So that night, I emailed him again to confirm if he received my 5 changes email. The next day he still did not reply. So I waited through the weekend, and on Monday, I emailed him again to see if he received my email. This time he replied and told me: "We are still conducting interviews. If your don't hear from us within a week, good luck on your future endeavors." I was extremely upset because he lied about hiring me. I was really looking forward to the job. This have me a horrible impression of the company and the recruiter. They should not have hired someone who lies and cannot meet timely requirements.
