The interviewwas pretty standard. They have a form questionnaire they use during the interview with the typical questions. Give me an examples of time when you had to manage conflict, name a time when you led a project, what are your strengths & weaknesses, etc.
They provide ample time for you to ask questions but from my experience you may not always get a truthful answer.
I recommend asking very specific questions like .... How many people have quite or been let go from the company in the past year? Under what circumstances did the person previously in this role leave? If they tell you "They weren't a good fit with our company" press for more details and specifics. How long was the previous person in the role?
I also recommend asking very specific questions about the day to day in your interview. Ask everything you can think of no matter how small it may seem because you may be surprised by the answer.
- Are there flexible hours? Telecommuting? What time am I expected to be in the office? What if I need to leave early for an appointment? If I took this job what's the exact date I could expect my first SEP check? What are you policies on technology (checking personal email, etc.). Who has been working here the longest and for how long have they been with the company? What happens if I need to take unpaid leave prior to getting my vacation time? What happens if there's a snow storm and I can't make it to the office? How long have you been with the company? How many people have you hired since working here? How many people have you terminated since working here? What's your average annual salary increases?
