I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at JCPenney (Calumet City, IL) in Oct 2016
Interview
An online application was sent. I heard from them within a weeks time. It was a group session. It lasted for about an hour. We went through a series of videos and worksheets on the first day and were given a homework assignment on counterfeit money. On the second day rinse and repeat and then at the end we were taken on a tour of the entire store and then placed on registers to pass a systems test. It was relatively easy, but for the others in my group it seemed like a challenge for them. None of them stayed behind to answer questions which I thought was nonsense since the workers had to come and aid them while they were busy doing their work. To me that cuts into productivity, but I guess I don't know any better.
Super easy and quick process I interviewed with four people back in the days. This was my first job it was absolutely fun and it taught me how to become more social and responsible.
was good, quick and to the point, was an interview for a different position but they had filled it so just did the regular cashier position and worked that out which was nice
easy they ask you simple multiple choice answers that are pretty easy to guess which one is correct. They were easy to talk to too. at least at my location. It was a hiring event which prob explains it
