I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at J. Crew (Pleasant Prairie, WI) in Feb 2010
Interview
It was a very simple and honest interview. I am still in the process, but it was very appealing. I liked the interviewer and the explainations of how the staff and store was run. It seemed like a very mature place to work that was not full of young people with tons of drama or backstabbing games. I would take the offer if offered here.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you handle an employee that was not doing what they were supposed to be doing?
Pretty straightforward, know the brand values, their style and competitors. Have in mind how you would style a customer and the questions you would ask them. Also know your managing style and words to describe it.
Professional and fairly simple. I didn't feel like there were many curve ball questions. It helped that I had previous experience in the position in a different company. At the time, it was a helpful position to accept.

Question 1
(It's been years, but I believe some questions were standard...) How do handle certain situations...
Store interview then regional. In person or phone/zoom. Must make it past first store interview to move on to next. Short in length of time. Typical questions. Friendly demeanor by interviewer.
