Easy. 5 minutes or less and 3 questions tops. As long as you have experience with speaking to customers and handling relationships with co-workers you're good. Many people quit quickly but if you enjoy your space enough - a lot of people used J.Crew as a second job for the weekend or after their day job, they'd work a 5-9pm.

Relaxed, easy. I was interviewed in the HR Manager's office. It was short, about 20 minutes. He asked me about availability, previous work/retail experience, experience dealing with customers, etc. Asked me about why I liked the brand and why I wanted to work there. A few days later I got a call offering me the job. Just waiting on the background check now.

Straight forward, past experience in retail, passions, what makes you a good fit for the position. They asked about my interests and education as well as my major and why I chose it.

What was one time a customer needed help with something and you aided them?
It was very personable and friendly in the back office of the store! I was asked questions about experience, personality, scheduling, why I wanted to work there. I got to meet a few other associates as well while talking with the manager.
