I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Itron (Raleigh, NC) in Apr 2012
Interview
The most technically challenging interview I've ever had. Now this is not saying much, most companies I've applied for don't ask very many if any at all technical questions. To be honest I felt this was the best interview process I've ever been involved in. From the moment I interviewed I wanted to work for Itron so bad, the interview process made be gravitate immediately to the exceptional people who performed the interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
C# Fundamentals are covered very heavily. Also like CS101 data structures are covered very heavy. We also look for good skills in UI design and development such as Javascript and AngularJS. If you are good at the backed we go over some pretty detailed threading questions. If you do good on all these subjects then we may move into more advanced areas like deep database development\data analytics skills covering SQL, Oracle, and various other skills.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Itron
Interview
Trust me... do not go by there website or do not take HR words very seriously.
Go for interview if you want to waste your time or you don't have any other job option. Super flop and worst interview process.
Interview process - First round may be telephonic, at least for me HR arranged. Interviewer was good well mannered and cultured and knowledgeable and it went well.
For further rounds they called for face to face. They asked me to reach by 2pm sharp and stressed the word sharp and I reach by 1:50 pm and believe me till 2:40 no one showed up. Upon several requests interviewer came and interview started and in 2-3 minutes I could make out he was very less experienced person. He may be 4-5yrs of experience person taking the interview of more experienced person. All he was having just bookish knowledge and that too he was aware of the decade old technologies. He was not aware of the current trends and practices.
I could see from register at reception, every day they are calling around 10-12 candidates and hiring no one. Ppl at reception also told the same thing.
I could also see they have decent big facility but almost half of the seats were vacant. Seems the don't have sufficient projects now.
My suggestions to management and HR don't call candidates just to pass your time. Time is very precious for other people. and if you want to hire candidates really then identify the right person/panel to take interview.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Itron (Bengaluru) in Jun 2017
Interview
TA team was pretty good in the entire process. TA team used to follow up and re-schedule when requested. They are pretty friendly. I liked the way they did the follow-up. Technical Interview panel were also very nice. It was multiple rounds of technical interview. All the interviewers were asking good/scenario based. I liked the entire process.
