Interview
The interview process was disorganized, disrespectful to candidates time and shows indecisiveness. Interviewing with 8 people for a mid-level position is redundant and points to a lack of trust in the interviewers judgement and ability to choose the right applicant. -A panel interview should be just that, a panel/group interview - not 3 separate phone calls at a minimum of 30 min each. -4+ hours of interviews, although spread across multiple days, too much time and energy to ask of a potential candidate. -Pay transparency: when the budget for the role was shared, it was not a number acceptable to me based on the experience being requested and the market value. However, it was confirmed in the first interview and two other times during the process that there was flexibility, which is why I continued the process, when in the end there was not. -I was told multiple times about the gaps I would fill, and how my experience fits perfectly with the role(s), as there was an additional role presented during the interviews that I was told I was a good candidate for. -I was informed at the start of the process the final round would be an interview with the VP, which was held, only to be informed I also needed to meet with the CEO. Which was scheduled and confirmed by their team Tuesday morning to only have it cancelled later the same day with little explanation other than the role was put on hold. I'd like to think they would use this feedback to streamline their process and involve only those required to make the decision for the sake of both parties. However, looking at other reviews - I am not alone in my experience and there has been no improvement to hiring/interview process. I really dislike having had this experience as the AI technology and boutique approach was intriguing and I would have been able to fill some obvious knowledge gaps not identified by the team.
