I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Iris Software (Pune)
Interview
I went through a three-round interview process. The first two rounds were focused on coding, where I was asked medium-level LeetCode problems. The third round was a managerial discussion conducted virtually over a team meeting, although I was still asked to come to the office for it.
I successfully cleared all three rounds and was initially asked to submit my documents. However, the company did not follow up afterward and effectively ghosted me. After some time, they reached out again, but this time they offered a lower salary than what had been previously discussed. The reason given was that I had fewer years of development experience, which had already been clearly mentioned in my resume from the beginning.
I declined the lower offer due to a lack of transparency in the process. For the final round, I traveled around 25 km as it was communicated to be a mandatory face-to-face interview. However, the discussion was actually conducted virtually, which made the requirement to travel unnecessary.
While traveling that distance was not an issue for me, I expected clarity and honesty in communication. Additionally, the change in salary expectations at a later stage, despite my experience already being clearly mentioned in my resume, further contributed to my decision to decline the offer.
