I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Investor Group Services (Boston, MA) in Mar 2026
Interview
The process consisted of four rounds. The first round was with HR. The second round included one behavioral interview and one market sizing case. The third round followed a similar format, with one behavioral and one market sizing interview. The final round consisted of two behavioral interviews and one written case.
The entire process took approximately two months, which felt unnecessarily long for the number of rounds involved. Communication throughout was very limited, with little to no guidance, resources, or expectations provided at any stage. There was also a lack of transparency around timelines and next steps, which made it difficult to prepare effectively and manage expectations.
Additionally, the time taken to communicate the final decision was excessive and could have been handled more efficiently. Overall, while the interview structure itself was clear, the candidate experience was negatively impacted by poor communication and slow turnaround times.

Interview
I applied to Investor Group Services and was invited for a 15-minute HR screening a few weeks later. The conversation itself went smoothly, and I was told I would hear back by the end of the week regarding next steps.
However, I did not receive any update for nearly three weeks. During this time, I became aware that other candidates who had applied earlier were already progressing through the interview process. It became clear that decisions were likely being made based on earlier applicants moving forward, rather than a fair evaluation of all candidates.
After the prolonged silence, I received a generic rejection email with no explanation. The lack of communication and mismatch between stated timelines and actual follow-up was disappointing.
At a minimum, clearer communication and adherence to timelines would significantly improve the candidate experience.
The interview process had multiple rounds. The first round was a behavioral interview. The second round consisted of two interviews. In this round, one interview was behavioral and the other interview was case. Third round interview was a case. There were multiple touchpoints with HR throughout the process.
