The first interview round was done over video. It involved a mix of technical and get-to-know-you questions. The technical questions weren't difficult. But, you do need to have a passable understanding of programming not just development-wise but also security, database management and other essential concepts.
The next round is a take-home assignment. This assignment can be done in one weekend. It's not super challenging. But, you do need to show and explain what you did and why in the final round of the interview, if you meet the assignment requirements.
The final interview involves technical questions around your app. For example, why did you choose this technology or questions on how you'd design the system architecture for a use case---things like that. This round touches more on exposing you to the company culture and other details you need to know.
Throuhout the interviews, the founder and leads have been nothing but fantastic. They are happy to help out if you're stuck or if you have any questions. They are passionate about InvestingNote and you can see it the way they conduct the interview.
This has been a great experience and I hope to cross paths in the future.
