      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Intuitive in Mar 2019

      Interview

My first interaction was with a recruiter who stated their confusion as to what job I am applying for and how they got my application. I was then discouraged from talking further because the recruiter said I may have too much experience for the entry level role. However, after further discussion, I felt the role would be a great opportunity for career advancement, so I pursued the interview with the hiring manager. Recruiter discussed a day and time, but it was NOT confirmed. I needed the interview later in the day since the interview was 2 hours from where I reside and I had work obligations. I was told I would receive a call by the end of the day to confirm. Fast forward to a day before supposed interview and I have still not received any sort of confirmation. I had to leave voicemails with the recruiter as well as emails to see if the interview was even scheduled. I did not want to make a bad impression by not showing up to an interview due to lack of communication. Finally, 6pm the night before the interview I receive an email with a location and time. At this point I had to rearrange several things at my current job to make this interview work. The interviewer seemed very disengaged and acted as if I was there so that he could check a box by interviewing a required number of candidates. In hindsight, I should have cut the interview short. It started by going through every bullet point on my resume from bottom to top. After kindly suggesting that it may be better to start with my current role and experience so as to explain why I am a good fit for the job I am interviewing for, the interviewer insisted on going about it this way. This led to a very awkward and forced conversation with a lot of side explanations. After making it through every bullet, the interviewer pulled out his computer and read off common interview questions. It seemed as if the interviewer had googled these and was reading straight from a website. Interviewer seemed bored and uninterested the entire time I was talking and then was distracted by his cellphone for a non-emergency situation. Interviewer then tried abruptly ending the interview, but since I traveled a long way, I squeezed in a couple of questions to ask specifics on the role, since by this point I had not received any information on the job. My work experience was downplayed and I was made to feel that I would not cut it at this company. I sent my thank you email to the interviewer and chalked it up as a loss. Fast forward 6 weeks later. I receive a call out of the blue on a Monday morning from the recruiter, hoping that I am still interested in the job. I said no, because during the interview I found out that the role would be in a different city than the one that was posted on the original job posting. The recruiter then said that the location was changed again, and it would be in the original city on the job posting. Thus, I said I was interested and would be open to another interview. We decided that Friday would be a good day for an interview. I was told I would receive confirmation later that afternoon. At 5pm Thursday night I get a call from the recruiter saying she is confused on the interview time and location. I was then told that I had an interview slot in a city 3.5 hours away for Friday morning. Since it's so late, I am unable to contact my boss and ask for a personal day. I told the recruiter it would have to be the following week and I never heard back again. The only reason I allowed this treatment to go on for as long as it did was because I am seeking to relocate to the city in the job posting. Overall, I dodged a bullet. Hopefully the employees at Intuitive are treated with more respect than I was granted in the interview process.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Intuitive (London, England) in Feb 2026

      Interview

Lengthy and confusing. Field based interview was unclear about the purpose. Otherwise standard questions throughout online interview. Many stages. Would not recommend unless fully committed. Plenty of 1 hours online stages

      Interview

Applied online. Recruiter emailed to setup a phone call. Phone call was going well when the interviewer started becoming annoyed, in which you could tell in their voice. Appeared to like my resume with no sales experience. Job does not require sales experience. Interviewer would make huffing noises that would make someone think they’re annoyed by the conversation. If that’s how the interview starts, I can only imagine how they treat employees. Never again will I apply.

      Interview

Interview process was normal compared to other med device companies. Definitely prepare behavioral questions and really emphasize what this company means to you. Everyone has the same goal in mind and that is to help patients and surgeons. Make sure to connect with this.
