This was an incredibly frustrating process, and was incredibly unprofessional with regards to the follow-up from both the hiring manager and the senior recruiter. To give a reference of the timeline, I first applied for the position Jan. 8 2019 and received the first contact from the Intuitive Recruiter on Jan 28. I am fairly used to an extended outreach time so I accepted that this was standard. Following some back and forth, I had a call with the recruiter on Feb 1, and a call with the hiring manager Feb 2. This accelerate timeline gave me some hope. I had to reach out again to the recruiter on Feb 10 as I had not heard back and was told by the hiring manager that he wanted to get me in for an in-person interview. The in-person interview was on Feb 15 where I met with 5 separate people who all asked average interview questions and I felt very comfortable throughout the whole process. Following this in-person interview, I haven’t heard back from Intuitive Surgical. I have sent several emails and phone calls, yet receive no response. This is incredibly unprofessional and is very disappointing to be involved in the process. Intuitive needs to address these issues from within and needs to understand how disheartening it is to go through a 1.5 month long process only to be left in the dark.
