      Communications Interview

      23 Jun 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Intuit (Bengaluru) in May 2022

      Interview

Very poor experience with the recruitment team. I was referred to a role at Intuit over 3 months ago. Never got a call or even an acknowledgement from HR. Followed up with the recruiter thrice in 2 weeks. No response. Followed up with my referrer, who was kind enough to check internally. Received a token email response, and then nothing for 2 more weeks. Finally get a call from a recruiter saying the role was tagged wrongly to them, and that I would get a call from the right person soon. Two more weeks of waiting, and nothing. Fed up, I followed up multiple times with the technical recruiter, which finally elicited a response from the right team. As luck would have it, said recruiter calls when I’m in the middle of a meeting. I call back within 15 mins, and get blanked. Two more follow up calls - no response. Boggles the mind how a company that treats mid senior roles and candidates with such callous disregard could ever be a great place to work. Very disappointing experience, would not recommend Intuit to anyone in a non technical role because their TA do not care.

      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Intuit (Mountain View, CA)

      Interview

The first few rounds were phone interviews and were average/typical. The in-person round requires you to do a presentation in a format your recruiter outlines for you. In my case it was to be 45 minutes long and cover 1) about you which the recruiter said was not about professional background that they already know from your resume but focus on family and vacations, which I thought was odd 2) highlight three accomplishments 3) a 60 day plan. Spent hours and hours over a weekend on the presentation for the group panel of about 5 people who I then also had to individually meet with after the presentation. The onsite interview was about a half day. It was a different interview experience.
