The recruitment process for Intellicus began with a pooled placement drive, where students from multiple colleges participated.
🔹 Round 1 — Online Assessment
The first stage was an online test covering a wide range of topics:
Aptitude questions
Language based problems (Java, C++, JavaScript, Pyton)
Technical MCQs on core concepts
SQL-based questions
Out of approximately 200 students, only 18 were shortlisted from my college for the next round.
🔹 Round 2 — Technical Interviews
Candidates had either 2 or 3 technical rounds depending on the panel.
• Technical Round 1
Mostly SQL-focused
Query writing and query optimization
Discussion on projects mentioned in the resume
Questions about database systems used
Duration: 15–20 minutes
This round was relatively straightforward and practical.
• Technical Round 2
Conducted via Microsoft Teams with a senior engineer from their Indore office.
Covered:
SQL theory concepts (e.g., DELETE vs TRUNCATE)
Discussion about internships
Deep dive into academic projects
Achievements and extra-curricular work
This round was more conversational and lasted around 20 minutes.
After the technical evaluations, 3 students were shortlisted overall:
2 for the Quality Engineer role
1 for the Data Engineer role — me
🔹 Round 3 — HR Interview
The final stage was an HR discussion with the Head of HR.
Topics included:
Self-introduction
Strengths & weaknesses
Major achievements
General personality-based questions
This round lasted about 10 minutes.
All three shortlisted candidates received offers, and I was selected for the Data Engineer role.
