The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Instacart (Dallas, TX) in Nov 2016
Interview
Received info to review before in-store meeting. Had to complete in store demo shop for customer within certain time limit. Order was reviewed and then I was told you will hear from us in a couple of days. I don't believe the way it was handled can give anyone a clear view of someones capability to perform the job. Each store has a different layout, you cannot rely on the app on location of items. Demo on app was set up for a San Francisco location but my in store demo was in Dallas

I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Instacart (Lemoore, CA) in May 2021
Interview
There was no interview process you just apply online or through the shopper app. They run a background check and as soon as that went through they sent me a card and I was able to start shopping the only thing is sometimes they have a wait list I got lucky when I applied and there was no waitlist but some people have to wait months if there’s too many shoppers in their area.
