      SEC Filing Specialist/Analyst Interview

      4 Apr 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Princeton, NJ
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at InsiderScore (Princeton, NJ) in Mar 2019

      Interview

Off the bat, the place was in a small office with all male and no female(at least I didn't see any female). I was interviewed by 5 different people (all male). First two interviewed me for about an hour, asking the basic scenario questions back and forth. I took two "find the difference" assessments and passed with flying colors. When I was done, I thought I was done for the whole interview process since the two interviewers asked me if I had any question about the position or the company. Then they said that two other associates were going to come in and talk to me. So I waited for a couple of minutes and two different guys came in, introduced themselves and started asking me to tell them about me. So at that point, I was just repeating everything I have already answered for the last two interviewers. I was getting very exhausted and frustrated. They both turn again grilling me with basically the same questions and two more assessments on compare and contrast two passages. I was so very tired reading the passages and completely warned out. By the end of it, I was sure the interview was finally done. But NO!! They told me to hang tight and left. So I was just sitting there wondering to myself that if they were going to bring in two other people, they better give me the job there or I'm gone. But I was professional and I stuck to the end. There I was waiting, and finally the door opened and one of the first interviewer came in with guess what? his manager! So of course, he grilled me again with all kinds of the same questions as the last two times and I was doing my very best to answer them. As I was listening to the questions and answering them, I started to notice the manager did not like me. He asked me about why I applied to the position even though my current one fits best with what I want to do. And he repeated again that HE thought I would be best to do something similar to my current position. He gave me a very negative vibe and that's for someone who has the same degree as me. So I didn't know why he was so quick to judge me for wanting to try something new and challenge myself, when he did the same exact thing that I'm trying to do now. Finally, after 2 hours and 10 minutes, they finally said that was ALL for today and they would let me know in about a week or so if I would even get the job. Which I knew after the third "interview" that I was not going to get it, there was no way. Plus, I was pretty sure they thought I was a guy when they saw my name applying for the job but please just don't waste candidate's time on repeated questions like can't you talk to each other and ask something else or just interview me all five of you at the same time.
