I had applied for this job, and the interview process was rather short. I was asked if I had the correct clearance, and what money I would accept for the role. I gave them the information, and all seemed well. Unfortunately the process got dragged out (not their fault), and after 5 months of waiting, they undercut my offer by more than 30%. I asked to see if they'd get closer to the original offer, but their subcontractor refused.
Things happen in government contracting like this, but it would seem that this company is fine undercutting contracts by so much that they are forced to hire Top Secret cleared IT specialists for about as much as your run of the mill night-shift grocery store supervisor.
