I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Inman News
Interview
The interview itself was OK. I was really annoyed a few times because I kept getting interrupted while I was talking, which is rude and unprofessional. There doesn't seem to be any team work within this company or role. The role is basically YOU and the interviewer couldn't properly explain the team structure and kept reiterating that YOU are responsible for the work that others are doing for the project you come up with. You are delegating assignments to others but you don't have any direct reports. Honestly don't waste your time. If anything, the interviewer failed the interview, I couldn't want for it to be over. One of my questions was, "what is your management style" and I was basically told that the only communication we'll have is if something is wrong.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Tell me about yourself.
2. How would you "direct" in this role?
Met with two senior level staff (including the CEO) and the conversation was relaxed but focused. I felt there was a good fit and was told I would be perfect for the position and that they were looking forward to working with me. However, like others said, was ghosted. Never heard back even after sending thank you notes and several follow up notes asking specifically about the status of the position. It doesn't take much to respond and I found this incredibly unprofessional.

Ghosted as well. I interviewed 3 times for the position, including with the CEO. I agree with other people here - the ghosting is totally unnecessary and unprofessional. I don't care that they didn't want to hire me -- it may well have been the best decision for them! But getting ghosted is totally not cool.
