I recently had an interview with Cognizant (16th March 2024), and unfortunately, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience due to miscommunication from the HR side. Initially, when contacted by the HR, I provided all the necessary details regarding my skills and experience in Selenium automation. However, upon receiving the interview details, I was surprised to find that the job description was for SFDC, which is salesforce functional testing, completely unrelated to my skill set.
Upon bringing this discrepancy to the attention of the HR, they updated the job details to align with automation testing. However, during the interview, I was taken aback when the interviewer questioned me about my experience in SFDC, a field I have no expertise in. Understandably, this led to an awkward situation where the interviewer had no relevant questions to ask me, ultimately resulting in a missed opportunity for me.
Moreover, attempts to reach out to the HR for clarification have been futile as they are now unresponsive to my calls. This lack of accountability and communication from the HR side has not only cost me a potential opportunity at Cognizant but has also left me feeling frustrated and disheartened.
Overall, it was very bad experience for me.
