I was contacted by recruiter from Bangalore,Inda. It was big pleasant surprise as I was working for same technology. After initial resume screening, I had 2 rounds of telephonic interviews. My first interview was the best I had till now from the Director of the team i was suppose to join. He was checking my aptitude and high level technical understanding of technical problems and its solution. This was followed by thorough technical interview by the technical team. I could perform well and answer the tricky questions. There a few questions which i could not answer, but i was able to walk them through my approach. They also asked me in detail about the design of previous projects in my then current project.
I was called after 1 day by the recruiter saying I had passed the interview, and had called me for onsite interview. Interviews here were very friendly but deeply technical. I could demonstrate that I had solid experience in designing ETL solutions for Integrating systems. There were 4 rounds of technical interview and the last one being director of the team i was suppose to work with. It was very long interview were we talked about current issues with product, different design scenarios, level commitment required with the team.. etc. It was very pleasant one to close with for the day. This was followed by the HR interview which was pretty much like any other HR interview.
I was then told by the recruiter that I have passed all the interviews and I will have one last discussion with the Sr.Director from St.PetersBurg. This happened after 3-4 days of my onsite interview. It was a pleasant talk again. I was stunt by the level of filtering they do before hiring an associate.
I was again contacted by the recruiter saying I had cleared the interview and she was ready to talk about the offer after getting final approval form HQ.
