I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Infinite Roofing & Construction (Colonie, NY) in Aug 2018
Interview
My interview was at 4pm on a Thursday. I arrived 5 minutes early (as is standard practice I live by when interviewing), not to early but early enough to show I value you time and being punctual. John was right on time which I liked & highly respected, in fact it checked a box off for me that can be a dealbreaker. To me, if the interviewing company has a management team that is on time, keeps appointments and looks me in the eyes during introductions, to me that shows 1 few things. It shows first and foremost that they value and respect time, my time and theirs. It also shows what the companys attitude toward time is, such as, is being on time and punctual something they value or is being late acceptable and not seen as being of high importance. Also, if my interviewer is on time or even early, it shows that they truly care about meeti ng with me, are interested in what i have to offer and they will be engaged.
John was right on time, exactly. He asked many good open ended questions and maintained eye contact during my response. He sat up right and I felt was genuinely interested and cared about my response. It was clear that interviews on this level are still new to him. However, what really stuck with me and ultimately led me to the decision to turn down my other job offer that was at $51,500.00 base with quartley bonus and company car and accept Johns offer which was $12,900.00 less to start was really 2 things. The first being that I could not only sense but that I could literally see Johns vision and passion. The second being that the corporate morals were exactly in line with my own and the third and final reason was John was instsntly showing trust and belief in me by giving me complete control of developing his sales and Estimating departments. And at then end of the day, the biggest thing and reason that made me turn down $51,500.00 for $12,900.00 less a year was that john was able to get to buy in to and fully/completely believe in what he was doing.

Question 1
